The program snapshot
The 2 Blokes Chatting Radio Show is currently broadcast on 94.7 The Pulse, Geelong's leading community radio station. It is presented live every Saturday morning from 9:00am until 11:00am. The program is presented by Rob Cameron and Neil Butler and focuses on music, sport and a range of community activities, with an additional focus on regional Australia.
The first episode of The 2 Blokes Chatting Radio Show was broadcast on 27 March 2020 as part of a temporary programming schedule to cover "a few weeks while we get past COVID-19". Since then the program has been presented over 270 times with a range of guests from internationally-recognised musical artists through to everyday people from regional communities across Australia.
The 2 Blokes Chatting Radio Show is currently a two-hour weekly program which could be best described as a series of informal and entertaining conversations, with a selection of classic hits scattered through the two hours. It is a deliberate choice to leave politics and contentious current affairs off our agenda - there are plenty of other programs who use this as their primary content.
While the name of the program might suggest a "blokey" tone to the conversations, that is not our intent. Instead, we think that the program name lends itself to the informal nature of the conversations. Based on the feedback we have received from listeners via social media, text messages and emails, we believe that our primary audience is likely to be over 40 years old, both men and women.

Chewing The Fat
One of our on-air colleagues, Tom Christensen, started a one-hour program in April 2024, broadcasting during the hour immediately after our show - Chewing The Fat. The program was not dissimilar to The 2 Blokes Chatting Radio Show, with authentic conversations with regional Australians providing much of the content.
In early 2025, Tom made the difficult decision to stop presenting Chewing The Fat "for a while: due to work commitments. Rob & Neil were asked to fill-in for Tom, each Bloke presenting the program on alternate weeks. This gave us the chance to expand our audience to a degre but also gave us an opportunity to present by ourselves, a different skill set entirely.
Throughout 2025, Rob & Neil have continued to present the program, providing Tom with the opportunity to step back into hosting the program in early 2026.
What we would love to do
While The 2 Blokes are passionate supporters of community radio, we would love an opportunity to take the program to the next level - a time slot on commercial or government-funded radio. We see this as being the next logical step in our development as radio presenters and for the program to heard by a larger audience.
